Filter Room

The mechanical systems for the hatchery were added into the space that originally just housed the house hot water heater and boiler.  The area was made a little longer to match he front wall of the hatchery, and pieces of the system fit in to make the best use of space.  The fresh water reservoir is the first thing you see, a 270 gallon polyethylene container.  Above that is the dosing pump and 5 gallon bucket filled with a sodium thiosulfate solution for dechlorination.  Hidden just behind the reservoir is the old water sump where waste water is pumped out of the system.  Next to that is the house hot water heater and boiler.  Just barely visible behind the boiler is the filter, air pump on the floor, and ultraviolet light and heat exchanger mounted to the far wall.
